remote difficult to read, but with time, you'll learn. inexpensive tv. pix good and easy to set up.
But for the money well worth it. and the built in speakers get a little tinny sounding when vol. This unit is great my wife loves it. Directions could be a little clearer. is turned all the way up.
My husband got me this for Christmas and the initial unit worked for less than 10 minutes, but when I wrote to amazon.com, they told me to package the unit up and send it back, at no charge to me, and the replacement unit was here in 4 days. I have really been enjoying this great gift.
After 32 days the picture went blank. I waited 10 weeks for warranty service from Coby and paid an additional $30 in shipping and handling fees. I finally took action and disputed payment for the TV with my credit card company under their extended warranty and customer satisfaction provisions. Coby said they would consider my request and let me know. I installed the Audiovox 10" TV/DVD/radio just yesterday and it is fantastic. By the end of December 2009, I had heard nothing back from them-- even after 5 faxes, three e-mails and two phone calls asking them to uphold the terms of their warranty. Given this, I will never buy another Coby product, ever.
And on top of this, I went to Sears and bought my wife an Audiovox undercounter TV to finally get her one. I reported this to Coby again. So -- lesson learned-- if you want a good under-cabinet TV, buy Audiovox, not Coby. It has a beautiful picture, almost HD quality, and excellent sound for a little under-cabinet kitchen TV. They told me I had to spend another $20 in shipping to send this second defective TV back under warranty and wait another 8-10 weeks for a third replacement. Picture quality was mediocre at best. After 10 weeks, a new replacement was sent.
I objected and asked for an immediate replacement, with Coby paying shipping and handling. Then after filing a complaint with Amazon.com about Coby, Amazon came to the rescue and offered me a full refund with shipping and handling costs included. My wife loves it. Unfortunately, I bought the Coby 7" under-cabinet TV/DVD/radio (KTFDVD 7093) for my wife for her birthday back in July 2009. This TV had no picture or video at all right out of the box. Thank you Amazon, no thanks to Coby.
Volume control 2 is too soft and 3 is too loud (as in the other reviews). All in all, don't waste your time or money with this product. The tv did not work right as soon as I tried to use it. Very cheap product. Needs to go back to the manufacturer to have someone troubleshoot the product.
Well, I made a mistake. Sound quality is terrible. The mounting is easy, they fixed the screw problems by giving plenty of longer screws. Lines and blocks of color on the screen that should not be there. I read through all the reviews before ordering this product, and decided to try my luck.
I know $130 is not alot of money but I wouldn't pay $50 for this. A defective product.
